This slightly chunky spin on a Hummus classic was made very easy by my trusty Pampered Chef Manual Food Processor but any food processor will work- maybe just giving you a different consistency (but that’s more of a preference thing anyway so it’s up to you!)


  • 2 cans organic garbanzo beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 3 large roasted red peppers
  • 1 tbsp cracked black pepper
  • 3 tbsp juice from the roasted red peppers (right from the jar baby!)

Directions:  Put the garbanzo beans into the food processor and run until smooth- or some version of smooth depending on what you like  (I find that some chunks are nice if you’re using for a dip anyway).  Empty food processor into a separate bowl and process the roasted red peppers next.  Add to bowl along with black pepper and juice from the roasted red peppers and mix.  Serve with anything from blue corn chips to chopped veggies and even use as some added protein and flavor for your favorite salad!  Enjoy with family and friends!

Yields enough for 4-6  people to comfortably snack on
